Neal Uno

I aim to use my skills as a multimedia designer to uplift stories and issues that deepen people's relationship to the land and each other. I am committed to amplifying voices behind Indigenous sovereignty and social movements that work to achieve abundance for our ecosystems and communities. Most recently, I served as the director of photography for Saging the World, a documentary and campaign led by California Indigenous advocates and allies to reorient perspectives on sage burning, an appropriated practice that is desecrating ancestral gathering grounds and Native culture. I have returned to Hawaiʻi, where I was born and raised, to support Kānaka Maoli communities and movements.
